Hotel/Motel - Set VIP Status and Wakeup

Description

This feature allows the attendant or PMS to assign the following VIP settings for an extension or suite:

Programming

  1. Hotel Options form

  2. Use the VIP1 to VIP9 options to enter up to nine VIP status labels. For example, enter "Conference" for VIP1, "Honeymoon" for VIP2, and "Anniversary for VIP3.

  2. To enable a regular phone to display the VIP status of a guest room, enable the Display VIP COS option.

  3. To ensure that the status code is visible, disable Suppress Caller ID for the guest room phone (or enable Suppress Caller ID - Override for the hotel phone).

 

Operation

NOTE: VIP Status and VIP Wakeup operate independently. You can enable one or both features on a guest room extension.

To set the VIP status and/or enable VIP wakeup on a room extension:

  1. Enter Guest service mode.

  2. Type the room extension number.

  3. Press the ENTER softkey.

  4. Press the MORE softkey.

  5. Press the VIP softkey repeatedly until the desired VIP status is displayed. To indicate that the room does not have a VIP status, select the VIP0 status level (labelled blank).

  6. Press the VIP Wakeup softkey to toggle the field from "Off" to "On".

  7. Press the SET softkey to save the changes.

  8. Press the EXIT softkey.

IP Console Applications

To set the VIP status and/or enable VIP wakeup on a room extension:

  1. Select Guest Service.

  2. Use the computer keyboard to type the room number in the Room Number box (not necessary if you are already on a call to the room).

  3. Select Search.

  4. In the VIP list, select the desired VIP status. To indicate that the room does not have a VIP status, select the VIP0 status level (labelled blank).

  5. In the VIP Wakeup list, select On to enable the feature or Off (the default value) to disable it.

  6. Select Save to save the changes.
